2016 Scion iM Review

I love, love, love when vehicle reviews come available to share with you all.  Not only am I able to share my past love and career of Automotive Engineering, but it gives me a chance to share a unique type of product.  We can all head to our local dealership and test drive a vehicle if we really want to but honestly, how much can you learn about a vehicle from maybe a 20 minute drive!?

This next one I am pretty darn psyched to share with all of you.  The 2016 Scion iM is anything but an ordinary car and if you are looking to stand out from a crowd, this is how you do it without breaking the bank!  In a Barcelona Red Metallic color, this unique aerodynamic design definitely stood out to everyone in my family.

The piano-black grille stood out beautifully against the red color and my favorite part of the exterior being the black and chrome 17-in. alloy wheels.  The 2016 Scion iM comes standard with features like power folding heated mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators and front windshield variable intermittent wipers.

Inside each 2016 Scion iM comes standard with features like Pioneer®2 7-inch touch screen display, 6-speaker system, dual-zone automatic climate control and with little extras like a leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls.  I loved the inside and particularly for my size family!

Right away, the vehicle had a smooth ride with what seemed like quite a bit of power.  It handled great on our dirt roads and in the rain compared to either of our other vehicles (by other manufacturers).  The Rear Camera Display and Backup Warning System helps you keep an eye out as you back up for more than just moving objects (children, grocery carts) but possible bikes parked behind you or even trees or barriers.

My model happened to be with the optional 6-speed manual transmission, which thrilled me to no end.  I almost felt like I was back in my hay days, ready to race the streets!  I miss driving a manual as it has been a decade since I owned a manual vehicle.  Speaking of being years, I felt like a total idiot when it came to putting the car in reverse.  Apparently I missed when vehicles changed how you shift into reverse and it took me 20 minutes sitting in my driveway to figure out that you need to pop up a circular part of the shifter!  (Now don't I feel dumb!)

Available to Purchase/Cost: Starting at $19,995 2016 Scion iM
Recommendation:  I have to say overall the 2016 Scion iM handled extremely well in both dry and wet conditions, the safety features are in line with keeping my family safe, and it had tons of room.  You are going to feel as though you are driving a sports vehicle at a standard price!  I was very impressed with this vehicle overall.
