Disney On Ice Let's Celebrate - The Palace of Auburn Hills, MI

Thankfully this Spring, Disney on Ice Let's Celebrate made its appearance in Detroit at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  "It’s one colossal party on ice, with all your favorite Disney friends! Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they celebrate a Very Merry Unbirthday Party with Alice and the Mad Hatter; Mardi Gras with Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen; a Royal Valentine’s Day Ball with the Disney Princesses; a Hawaiian luau with Lilo & Stitch; a winter wonderland with Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear; a Halloween haunt with the Disney Villains and more in a magical medley of holidays, celebrations and festivals from around the globe.  Come join the party when this spectacular ice show visits your hometown!"

I was so excited to be able to attend Disney of Ice this year with my daughters.  My oldest as you know is not into the princesses but my youngest is all about it so I thought this would have been a fun thing to do as a family.  I was shocked that both my daughters absolutely loved the entire show.  They told me that they wanted to go see the show every single night.  I really enjoyed the "Let's Celebrate" and watching the characters celebrate all the holidays and seasons that we celebrate.

My oldest was so enthusiastic about the entire show.  I do however think that all the merchandise that is being sold at this types of events is absolutely insane.  Every parent that takes their kids to these shows buys them a souvenir and food/drinks of some sort.  At these shows it can cost you a fortune!  I spent $12 each for a drink, upwards of $20 each for souvenirs and $12 for cotton candy for them to split.  I currently am a single mother and having two children it makes it difficult for me to afford all that my children want.  I realize it is my choice to buy my children these things but I would not like to spend all my extra money for the month in one night.

Besides that I am looking forward to taking my children the next time Disney on Ice comes to the Detroit area.  My kids are now playing Disney on Ice around the house, pretending they are ice skating and being the characters, that's how much they both enjoyed this house.

Entry Cost: $20-$55 depending on seat location
Parking at The Palace: $10/per vehicle
Recommendation:  I thought this was beautiful!  If it weren't for the high costs I would say attend this in your city no matter who you are!  Regardless, if you have children I think this is something you would want to see at least once in your lifetime!
