WaxVac Ear Cleaner Review and Giveaway

SPONSOR HIGHLIGHT  "Swim, Sun, and Fun" Giveaway Event

Unfortunately since birth Declan has always been one of those children which suffers from frequent ear infections.  I don't know if this is because of the weird (and gross) common trend between him and myself where we both get a lot of wax build up in our ears.  I am constantly cleaning my ears because it drives me crazy!  Declan has been the same as well and with us being quite the swimming pool family (haha our last name is Poole), I have been concerned he may get more ear infections.

Last Summer we went through a whole long process each time he would get out of the pool to make sure his ears were dried properly.  Let me tell you how fun this was with an 18 month old!  So this Summer I was pretty psyched to discover a company called the Wax Vac!  I just had to contact them in hopes of reviewing their WaxVac!  Thankfully they agreed to send me over one for review which we very quickly broke into before the pool was even open!

Wax Vac is a cordless ear cleaner which gently draws wax, dirt particles, and moisture from the ear canal.  Each comes with  a Safety Guard, 8 Color-Coded Silicone Tips and 1 Cleaning Brush.  Also part of the Wax Vac is an examining light which unfortunately did NOT work on the one I received.

At first when we tried it, we almost thought it felt like it was blowing air but when you closely pay attention you notice the gentle suction.  I loved the fact that both boys were able to do this and actually enjoyed doing so after each dip in the pool!  I did notice a little bit of ear gunk that was sucked into the vac when I was cleaning it so I could tell it was working.  The only thing I would say is I wouldn't count on this to clear up any major plugs or anything since it is so gentle.

Cost/Available to purchase: $10 BOGO https://www.waxvac.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=gbrand&gclid=CP7T0LCyyrcCFcU7MgodOB8AKg
Recommendation:  I thought this was great and like I said to have the kids be able to use this on their own made me  much happier especially for the cost.  Just remember as with most anything, you get what you pay for and these are not the most efficient tool either.  I do love how convenient this is as well to take anywhere with you.

Giveaway:  Wax Vac is going to give one of A Lucky Ladybug's lucky readers a Wax Vac of their own!
Look for this to be part of the "Swim, Sun, and Fun" Giveaway Event beginning on 6/25/13

  1. This sure would have been handy to have when my daughter was on swim team. She got swimmers ear very easily and every time she got finished with her swim we had to put stuff in her ears to dry them out because the plugs didn't help any. Plus my dear Hubby could use this, he is one of those that is constantly battling the ear wax problem.

  2. My nephew is also one of those kids who just has excessive ear wax. Luckily he doesn't fuss too much when it comes time to clean out the ears.
